**Job Purpose**

The Logistics Attendant is responsible for Shipping, Receiving, Finished Goods Packaging, and Warehouse Activities. The Logistics Attendant is an essential function to the INFICON Customer experience. This position will be responsible for the interdepartmental communication and the ability to aid outside operations. Attendant purpose is to evaluate, receive, stock, and successfully complete material movements to the point of consumption or sale.

**Essential Job Functions**

* Receipt of material via SAP ensuring accuracy and proper warehouse set up and management of inventory

* Material Replenishment responsible for Production Order and area replenishment ensure proper material allocation. Includes consumption/ reversal of material to and from internal accounts via Inventory Request System.

* Shipping Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and customer requirements. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.

* Proactively communicates issues, shortages, or problems to Supervisor, Planner, and or outside responsible parties.

**Basic Job Skills**

* SAP or prior ERP experience preferred, independence, organization, communication, time management, basic computer skills.

* Ability to track and create BOL on carrier websites freight forwarders such as FedEX, DHL, UPS & outside firms, must have high attention to detail.

* Ability to listen, communicate, be empathetic, basic product knowledge, patience, conflict resolution.

* Good sense of time organization and urgency

* Able to work independently and with a team.

* Ability to operate warehouse equipment

**Education and/or Experience -** This represents the minimal education and years of experience essential for acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to carrying out the major duties described above. *Please note this may or may not equate to the persons education/experience.*

* High School Diploma/ GED or 0-2 Years Experience

**Certifications/License**

* Forklift Certification

**Decision Making Authority**

* Does not supervise other employees or intern/co-ops

**Leadership Responsibilities and Reporting Relationships**

Receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision. Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to instructions. Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions or by guidelines.

**Communication and Professional Interactions**

* Employee communication will take place with Order Management, Planning, Finance, and other internal departments when required.

**Physical Requirements**

* Require constant (5-8 hours/day) lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

* Requires frequent (2-5 hours/day) pushing up to 50 pounds, sustained visual concentration on small areas and repetitive hand motions on a daily basis

* Requires occasional (up to 2 hours/day) bending, crawling, crouching, climbing, sitting, kneeling, reaching on a daily basis

* Frequently sustained visual concentration on small areas (e.g. monitors, screens, spreadsheets, legal documents, etc.)

**Working conditions**

* Excellent working conditions with no major sources of discomfort (e.g. nearly optimal office environment with good lighting, temperature and air conditions). Reasonably good working conditions with minor discomforts. (e.g. occasional exposure to less than optimal temperature and air conditions and to office chemicals or continual (+50%) use of video display terminal)
