Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join their esteemed team in New York. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in handling a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, and white-collar defence. With a focus on delivering strategic advice and effective advocacy, the Litigation Associate will work closely with partners and clients to achieve favourable outcomes in complex legal disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and case preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings and submissions.
- Assist in all aspects of the discovery process, including document review, preparation of discovery requests and responses, and deposition preparation.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
- Manage case files, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop and implement litigation strategy and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Qualified attorney admitted to practice law in New York.
- Strong academic background, with a law degree from a reputable institution.
- Experience in litigation practice, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
