Seeking an independent, compassionate person to join our team! We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician ( or waiting to test) to work with us. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, capable of communicating effectively, be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast paced enviornment, have the ability to work in harmony with a team. Responsibilities: *Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, running in house lab tests Catheter placement, fluid therapy *Dental cleanings and dental x-rays *Administer medications and treatments *Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures/ anesthesia monitoring *Recovering patients *X-rays *Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and client education Qualifications: *Veterinarian Technician Certificate / License *Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting a plus *Ability to handle and restrain animals safetly and compassionately Please note that this position does not involve dog training or pet grooming. We primarily focuse on providing medical care under the supervision of our Veterinarian We are a privately owned small animal hospital with one doctor, but we are growing.
