Job DescriptionCallen-Lorde is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse Per Diem to join our integrated team. As an LPN you will play a crucial role in assisting primary care providers, including physicians and mid-level providers, in delivering top-notch patient care. Your responsibilities will include providing general nursing care, assisting with triage, offering patient services, and providing clinical support. This is a Per Diem position requiring a flexible schedule of at least 10-20 hours per week.As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assist primary care providers in delivering patient care services.
  • Provide general nursing care under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with triage procedures and patient assessments.
  • Offer patient services with empathy and professionalism.
  • Provide clinical support in various healthcare settings.
  • Always ensure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Nursing team.
Qualifications
  • New York State LPN License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong Computer Competency
  • Two years experience in an out-patient clinical setting preferred
  • Experience serving Callen-Lorde's target populations preferred
  • Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Commitment to community-based primary care
  • Commitment to participating and being a champion of Callen-Lorde's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative
  • Ability to work within a team-based structure
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
