Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)(Patchogue, Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson)Suffolk County, NYNew York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an LPN to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.In this role you will:
- Give medication as prescribed by a Physician
- Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and weight
- Administer injections of medication
- Administer immunizations
- Obtain patients medical histories
- Enter information into EMR computer systems
- Start IV s after certification as well as phlebotomy
We require:
- Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York
- At least 1 year of working in a medical facility.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Ability to start IV s helpful
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.
- Compassionate patient care
