Position Title: Lending System Analyst

Salary Range: $26-$31.25 an hour depending on experience

POSITION PURPOSE

The Lending Systems Analyst is the technical resource that will provide expertise to the Credit Union in the areas of all Lending technology platforms, core integration, and data analytics. This role will assist in the development and optimization of lending workflows and processes. The Lending Systems Analyst will improve the ROI of the lending technology platforms and data strategy initiatives through automating/optimization of lending processes, facilitating documentation of key processes, organization of existing programs, and the creation of new programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Support credit and lending teams in internal management reporting and external data reporting.

2. Develops problem solutions by studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications; creating reporting programs.

3. Recommend best practices for all lending platforms to support existing and additional business processes or functions.

4. Develops data visualization dashboards as requested by line of business.

5. Assist with preparing staff to use visualization tools by writing procedures, providing support, and assisting in training.

6. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

7. Review data files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization.

8. Monitor analytics and metrics results.

9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

10. Recommend changes to workflow, efficiencies and quality processes.

11. Assist with the implementation of the changes to Lending workflows.

12. Help track and analyze process improvement benefits after changes are implemented.

13. Perform tasks related to data analytics and data modeling

14. Report creation & enhancements

15. Support data request from auditors & external parities

16. Function as Lending systems SME on projects

17. Work in conjunction with Business Intelligence to map new data sources and test results

18. Complete monthly tasks and reports as needed.

19. Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Certification: 4-year college degree preferred plus three to five years experience in the credit union industry; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge:

  • Must possess a working knowledge of current lending practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of the setup and utilization of lending platforms (i.e. loan origination systems)
  • In addition to a working knowledge of financial institution operations and regulations, this position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

Experience Required: Experience using P.C. based software including Microsoft Office;

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

  • Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills necessary to communicate findings to the line of business owners.
  • Effective time management skills needed to work on projects, many data streams and many deadlines while working independently.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Strong working knowledge of Credit Union processes, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, procedures etc.
