About the role

As we continue to scale, the Manager COVID-19 Safety and Leave Administration will provide strategic analysis and technical advice around strengthening our COVID-19 protocols, guidance and processes, which includes vaccine & testing management, PPE, contact tracing, communications to employees and COVID Response Team (CRT), leave administration, wellness, education, training, and more. This role will partner with multiple departments and stakeholders, along with many of our employees (hourly and salary) to help create a safe and enjoyable work environment for all.

COVID Response Team (CRT) Leadership

* Lead our CRT (including HR, Legal and Business leaders) including owning agenda and discussion at weekly meetings, updates to external and internal data or guidance, and other key topics that need decision-making

* Observe and communicate updates on best practices, regulatory requirements and reporting with respects to COVID-19

* Regularly monitor CRT email DL and respond to employee questions and concerns

* Primary point of contact for COVID policy related questions

* Development of training and education initiatives to help employees with concerns and questions related to vaccines and testing

COVID-19 Protocols

* Review external (State/Federal) data and guidance regularly, and provide updates along with protocol and policy recommendations for Wonder

* Communicate out protocols and govern adherence to them

* Ensure that proper PPE (including testing kits) is in stock and available across locations

COVID-19 Testing and Vaccinations

* Coordinate weekly testing across multiple facilities timing, locations and other logistics

* Hire and manage testing staff (nurses) across locations ensure availability, handle coverage, answer questions and provide direction

* Coordinate onsite vaccination clinics with outside vendors, as needed, across locations

* Manage the collection of COVID-19 vaccination cards and validate proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as needed

COVID-19 Tracing and Tracking

* Trace close contacts of employees who test positive to or are exposed to COVID-19, communicate and provide guidance and appropriate follow-up to all relevant employees and managers

* Track employees who test positive to or are exposed to COVID-19 for payroll purposes and coordinate COVID-19 related leaves

* Partner with Human Resources Business Partners, Managers, and People Support in situations affecting employees time off / leave, as appropriate

Data Reporting

* Ensure accurate and precise data monitoring of cases and close contacts

* Manage COVID internal (vaccine rates, testing rates, employee sentiment around safety, protocols, etc.) and external (transmission rates, state and county vaccine rates/risk assessments and protocols/guidance) and create various requested daily/ weekly reports to stakeholders

Leave Administration

* Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans and workers compensation.

The experience you have

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

* Minimum of 6 years of related experience in leave administration and some relevant experience with COVID-19

* Proven ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

* Experience with research and analytics seeks out and understands external influencing factors and can apply them to internal data to aid decision making
