The Dinex Group, restaurant group of internationally acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud, is looking for a part time **Kitchen Manager** for our new Downtown NYC restaurant.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for receiving items, invoicing/maintaining accuracy and vendor relations as it pertains to the daily cleanliness and operations upkeep of the kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations at Dinex to get the restaurant up to code and set up for a successful target opening date on or about April 15, 2022.
This includes having the ability to recognize and report maintenance/malfunctions with kitchen equipment and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment is in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards at all times. The Kitchen Manager must be able to follow directions and communicate clearly with team members. Other duties may include assisting with special events as instructed by the Executive Chef or General Manager. These events may include catering, promotional and charities.
**Competencies & Qualifications:**
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurants/hotel environment
* Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance
* Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality
* Actively practice food safety procedures
* Ability to lead small (5-6) crew of coworkers, manage tasks, direct others to complete tasks
* Ability to multi-task with maximum efficiency
* Organizational skills
* Effective time management
* Ability to lift large items up to 50 pounds
