Prosperity Asset Management, LLC, an alternative asset management firm specializing in credit and niche asset opportunities and origination platforms, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Investment Professional to join Prosperity Asset Management ( PAM ), a fast-growing, highly sophisticated alternative asset manager specializing in credit and niche assets that currently provides investment management services to insurance companies and manages ~$14 billion in AUM. PAM is an affiliate of the Prosperity Group, a multi-billion dollar, private-equity backed insurance, reinsurance and asset management franchise. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, a deep interest in investing and a desire to learn more about asset management.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Junior Investment Professional:
- Work closely with teammates to conduct in-depth fundamental and market analysis, due diligence on a variety of structured, credit and alternative investments
- Build and maintain financial models used for investment analysis and reporting
- Assist in on-going portfolio surveillance and operational needs
- Assist in developing and maintaining external relationships with broker/dealer/investment firms to source and facilitate investments
- Support the greater team growth initiatives, including but not limited to internal reporting, presentations and infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Start as an investment generalist with the goal of developing domain expertise/specialization(s)
Qualifications of the Junior Investment Professional:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in analyzing/structuring/underwriting investments
- Intellectually curious, self-motivated team player focused on delivering results & meeting deadlines
- Strong critical thinking, research, analytical and quantitative skills
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills
- Comfortable with working with large data sets and deal legal documents
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to work with a lean and growing investment team
- Some technical expertise (programming and/or excel macros) is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
