Job Title: Junior Estimator

Salary: $100k (negotiable)

We have a fantastic opportunity at a local long standing, reputable heavy civils contractor who focus on utilities. Based in the Bronx, it's a great location and to join a company that focuses on personal growth with even better rewards.

Your primary responsibilities entail assessing project scopes and devising financial summaries that align with allocated budgets and specified time frames. Collaboration with designers and engineers is integral, as you frequently collaborate with them to generate these estimates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Complete estimates on time and complete in form for final review.
• Ability to interface with all vendors and negotiate the best price outcome for the estimate and out proposal
• Attending any required site visits and meetings needed prior to bid submission
• Maintain the estimating computer system and paper backup system for management to review

Experience:

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Knowledge of MTA, DOT
• 2 years experience
• Knowledge of private sector and NYCT
