Job Description:

**Jr. Inventory Associate**

Auction Inventory & Delivery Valley Cottage, New York Minimum Experience **Mid-level** The Jr. Inventory Associate will be a support to Acker's warehouse operation. This position will receive, inspect, and inventory wines to be input into a database for sale. This role will work as part of a team to ensure quality and accuracy of the wines inventoried.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Inventory wines based on their region, vineyard, maker, and vintage.

* Inspect product for defects or damages.

* Box, palletize, and put away inventory in warehouse racks.

* Maintain accurate daily records of goods received.

* Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.

* Organize warehouse space, including the movement of a high volume of pallets.

* Abide by all company safety standards.

* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.

* Operates forklift truck when necessary.

* Performs other related duties as requested.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

* Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.

* Ability to perform basic math calculations.

* Have 2 or more years of warehouse and inventory experience.

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Forklift operator certification.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, stand, sit and reach.

* Stand or walk for long periods of time.

* Ability to regularly lift and move 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Navigate a warehouse and reach items both high and low.

Working Conditions:

* Temperature controlled warehouse environment.

* Working hours are typically from 7am to 4pm with a half hour lunch.

* Must be available to work overtime, including Saturdays when requested.
