To learn more about Berry, visit Summary: 1) Purpose: To develop AUKY FY24 Strategic Plan with EHS Manager for risk elimination designed to promote a safe and accident free work environment and to meet our Sustainability G&Os 2) Dimensions : This position interfaces frequently with all teams within the plant 3) Work Schedule : This is a temporary, 12-week long internship lasting through the summer months. Responsibilities Complete identified Risk Assessments and develop strategic plan for Top 10 Risks in the plant for FY24 Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks Implement data collection of Waste Reduction / Recycling Opportunities for future cost savings and sustainability projects. Work with the green team, the managers and Waste is Gold suggestions to develop a strategic plan for FY2024. Implement adequate tracking to achieve our Impact 2025 (Sustainability) G&Os Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Currently, enrolled in Bachelor's degree, Prefer Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, environment safety or any related field with an interest in sustainability Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, company communications and procedure manuals. Ability to write and explain procedures to other departments. Ability to speak in front of large groups of people. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as statistics and trends. Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form. Physical Demands: The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
