****Position Description****

**Job Summary**

Seeking a dedicated, self-starter with a high degree of motivation to execute procurement for Direct Materials to meet manufacturing requirements of Saint-Gobain Hoosick Falls production plant. Support maintaining the purchasing related aspects of Saint-Gobain Hoosick Falls QAD system.

Essential functions include:

* Manage the sourcing and procurement for direct materials to meet production requirements of Saint-Gobain Hoosick Falls utilizing QAD system

* Manage purchased item inventory, evaluate historical consumption and MRP and manage necessary changes

* Accurate and timely conversion of purchase requisitions to purchase orders

* Confirm delivery and price of placed purchase orders

* Manage open purchase orders, expedite or move out as needed, track and communicate planned deliveries

* Timely and effective communication with appropriate departments and levels of management, including customer care, on potential late orders from external suppliers, internal customers and shipments of external orders

* Support invoice discrepancy management in IOL and D360. Create bi-weekly D360 problem log

* Participate and support return to vendor paperwork

* Support internal audits

* Understanding and ability to update and maintain supplier item maintenance (pricing, supplier numbers, secondary suppliers)

* Manage item site planning attribute maintenance for purchased items: lead time, price, minimum QTY, maximum QTY, order multiples, periods of supply and safety stock

* Sub-contracting process to include PO and work-order creation

* Support cycle counts as assigned

* Participate in plant physical inventory

* Execute planning and scheduling tasks as assigned

* Performs shop floor inventory and work order transactions as required

**Required Qualifications**

**Education:**

* Bachelors level degree preferred

* Relevant professional certification preferred

**Work Experience:**

* Three+ years experience in purchasing, negotiating, price discount schedules and budgets

* Familiarity with the following:

+ Input supplier information into MDR (master data record) so master data entry can create new vendor numbers

+ Understand the RMA process

+ Understand MRO POs and process

+ Understand Agora ordering

**Technical Skills:**

* Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required

* Strong skills in using QAD, including MRP systems required
