**Hybrid - 1 day a week onsite in Ashburn, VA.** Our government client is looking for a Java Developer to join their team. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Pay Rate: $75.00 - $85.00/hr on W2 Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. Responsibilities of the Java Developer:Design and implement microservices using the Spring frameworkUse modern software engineering tools for design, development, and testing the softwarePresent the solution at formal and informal design reviewsDocument the design according to the Government s system lifecycle methodologyProvision, operate, and maintain systems running on AWS (or equivalent cloud providers)Develop microservices using Spring (Primarily Spring Boot) Requirements of the Java Developer:A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of technical experienceExperience wiring up code to perform highly efficient CRUD operations on DBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB with JDBC, JPA, Hibernate etcExperience and familiarity with Unix, Linux systems and commands along with some shell scriptingExperience with object-oriented analysis and design techniquesExperience with orchestration to develop a cloud solutionUnderstanding of developing scalable web applications - infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.)Ability to lead and mentor junior level developersHigh level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment Please be advised- If anyone reaches out to you about an open position connected with Eliassen Group, please confirm that they have an Eliassen.com email address and never provide personal or financial information to anyone who is not clearly associated with Eliassen Group.
