This internship is part of the Simons Foundation's Autism in the Workplace program. We strongly encourage autistic candidates to apply. The Simons Foundation IT Support team is looking for an intern who is interested in technology and IT to assist us with important projects, such as organizing storage spaces, auditing accounts, keeping our device fleet updated, and more. In addition, the IT intern will be given the opportunity to work with and learn from members of the IT support team as they troubleshoot issues and address support requests. The IT Intern will work onsite at our New York City offices. The expected schedule is three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The anticipated dates for this internship are from June 4 to August 1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reorganizing IT storage areas.
- Assisting with organizing networking closets.
- Assisting in auditing IT services.
- Updating OS on managed computers.
- Testing computers and determining if service is needed.
- Shadowing IT support team and completing additional tasks and projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with macOS.
- Passion for technology.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the responsibilities of the team.
- Familiarity with Apple hardware, accessories, and other common IT hardware.

COMPENSATION - This internship pays $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
