Our client, a prestigious American investment bank, is seeking a talented IT Project Manager to join their Capital Markets team, specifically focusing on Fixed Income products.
Role Overview
As an IT Project Manager for Fixed Income Capital Markets, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful delivery of technology projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure the timely and effective implementation of solutions that meet the bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management activities, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage project scope, budget, timeline, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality solutions within the defined constraints.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable plans for technology teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and resolve issues that may impact project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) in IT project management, specifically in the Capital Markets domain, with a focus on Fixed Income products.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and investment banking operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working with global teams and managing projects with a high degree of complexity.
