Onsite Monday-Friday (11a-7p or 10a-6p)
As an Inventory Specialist you would join a top, prestigious cancer research organization. The team is starting to see an increase in lab kit/sample shipping volume and are looking to bring on a specialist to support the team! This is a huge opportunity for growth with a top cancer research organization!
Responsibilities:
- Make sure samples are packaged correctly and sent to the right location
- Make sure sample supply is replenished in a timely manner
- Make sure samples are appropriately inventoried
- Ad Hoc documentation of sample arrival and shipment
- Receive lab kits and document storage procedures
- Organize a large inventory of lab kits
- Send lab kits for transportation
- Coordinate with nursing departments for updates on shipments and arrivals
- Pick up samples from campus locations transport them to the lab
- Break down inventory and regularly clean up the space
- Organize shipping room
Skillset:
- Ambitious college graduate looking to get their foot in the door at a research organization
- Associates degree or Bachelors Degree
- Inventory experience in a hospital setting
- Shipping/Retail/Inventory background (USPS/Fedex/Retail Shop/Amazon shipping)
Soft Skills:
- Well organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Fast learner fast-paced worker
- Ability to Improvise and multitask certain situations
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Can carry weight over 50lbs
- Strong attention to details
