**Summary**

As Burrow continues its rapid growth, product diversification and international expansion, we are seeking a detail- and action-oriented, entrepreneurial Inventory Planning Associate. This role would assist with managing demand planning and inventory management across our diverse product portfolio, support maximizing our top line revenue potential by ensuring the health of our inventory, and own the purchase order creation, transmission, and update processes in order to guarantee receipts are received in a timely manner to the intended end warehouse destinations. The Inventory Planning team works cross functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and Accounting, and will be the leader in driving our current and future planning strategies forward. This role reports into the Inventory Planner Manager.

**Responsibilities**

* Support manager with demand planning models, forecasting, and on order receipt flow

* Analyze current inventory position and risks to recommend and communicate markdown and promotional strategies

* Review historical sales trends, backorder stance, and research demand drivers

* Execute and transmit new product and replenishment purchase orders to suppliers

* Complete and communicate purchase order updates pertaining to pricing, quantity, SKU / description changes

* Plan and write POs, ensuring each PO is allocated to correct end destination; work closely with suppliers on changes and update POs as necessary; call out any potential discrepancies with internal (Shipping & Logistics) and external (Supplier) contacts necessary

* Work closely with sourcing, production, and external vendor teams to identify, monitor, and communicate any issues affecting delivery against forecasts and customer orders

* Manage special projects aligned with company strategic growth plans

** Job requirements**

* Minimum **2-3 years** retail or e-commerce planning and/or inventory management experience; experience in direct-to-consumer e-commerce a plus

* Solid understanding of retail inventory metrics including; sales, inventory turn, sell through, weeks of supply, in-stock rates, and how each of these metrics impact the P&L

* Advanced level Microsoft excel skills, with a knack for creative problem solving
