**Inventory Helper**
Storage Inventory & Delivery Valley Cottage, New York Minimum Experience **Entry-level** The Inventory Helper will be a support to Acker Auction warehouse operation. This position work as part of a team to unload, inventory and code inbound products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Inspect product for defects and damages.
* Unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
* Box and barcode inventory with accuracy
* Check, verify and fulfill outbound orders.
* Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
* Assists with periodic physical inventory audits.
* Operates forklift truck when necessary.
* Organize warehouse space.
* Abide by all company safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
* Performs other related duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Forklift operator certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, stand, sit and reach.
* Stand or walk for long periods of time.
* Ability to regularly lift and move 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Navigate a warehouse and reach items both high and low.
Working Conditions:
* Temperature controlled warehouse environment.
* Working hours are typically from 7am to 4pm with a half hour lunch.
* Must be available to work overtime, including Saturdays when requested.
