JOB OVERVIEW

Net Health Interface Developer is responsible for designing and developing HL7 and non-standard interface solutions and assisting with the implementation, deployment and support of these solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Design and develop HL7 interfaces based on customer s workflow and configuration capabilities in accordance with Net Health s standards of quality, performance and usefulness; including ADT, Billing, Results, Orders and Scheduling interfaces
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team, alongside Net Health s Project Manager and Interface Engineer, to deliver high quality integration solution
  • Assist the Interface Engineer with deployment and validation of interface solutions as needed
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all interface functionality and support Sales Team by participating in sales calls upon request
  • Help to foster a team player environment and share knowledge with other team members
  • Handle any custom development request for interface functionality outside of the scope of our standard interface templates, including but not limited to SQL stored procedure updates, scripting changes through Python or VB and WebAPI code through c#.net

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in CIS, Information Technology or Computer Science recommended
  • 5+ years of experience working in healthcare IT industry
  • 5+ years of experience with HL7 message structure in versions 2.2 and 2.3
  • Experience with HIS systems such as EPIC, Meditech, Cerner and McKesson
  • Thorough understanding of Windows networking concepts, such as VPNs, firewall/router configuration, shared network folder configurations and FTP and SFTP file transfers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with SQL Server databases with an emphasis on writing T-SQL queries or stored procedures
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as VB.NET, C#, Python scripting, etc.
  • Experience with interface engines, such as MD Link, Mirth, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, eGate or Iguana
  • Experience with ASP.NET using C#
  • Team leadership experience recommended
  • Cisco or Microsoft certification recommended
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency required

INTERACTION

This role will work closely with key departmental and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role. No supervisory responsibilities required for this position.
