The Instructional Designer collaborates with the Operations, Training, and Educational Development Departments to ensure the accuracy of material in courses. Primary Functions / Responsibilities
  • Create online presentations including audio, video, text, and graphics.
  • Write audio and video scripts based on the Huntington methods.
  • Fluency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Fluency with eLearning creation tools such as Captivate.
  • Fluency with LMS functionality, including the upload and maintenance of SCORM compliant courses.
  • Create graphics to support /supplement online presentations- screen capture, scanned documents.
  • Transform learning materials into engaging and interactive lessons using authoring tools and AI-based tools and uploading them on LMS
  • Find new technical ways of creating content faster but without quality loss (AI, authoring tools, etc.)
  • Direct recording sessions and/or recording voice-over audio for presentations.
  • Fully understand the Huntington System and its philosophy.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Trainers, and Educational Development Department to ensure presentations are accurate.
  • Create quizzes/tests to complement online training sessions.
  • Direct video shoots including set preparation and clean-up.
  • Provide direction to both adult and child talent ensuring integrity and continuity of video shoot.
  • Use Zoom, Vyond, and other online training applications as needed in the creation and deployment of online training courses.
QualificationsEducational Requirements / Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Instructional design experience preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in use of MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience in use of Zoom, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, or other online meeting applications preferred.
  • Experience working with learning management systems and AI technologies is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Part time, 15-20 hours per week
  • Personal licensing to content authoring software is a plus, but not required.
