Our client: is a well established, trusted and growing Professional Services and Technology company based in Saratoga County, New York, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. As they expand operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced In-house Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team and work closely with the CEO.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join the team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, managing risks, and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives. While experience in corporate law or insurance is preferred, we prioritize intelligence, adaptability, and a strong work ethic above all else.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Review, and negotiate various agreements and contracts, including but not limited to, vendor agreements, employment contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the company's compliance and mitigate legal risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address legal issues, providing proactive solutions and strategic advice.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to promote legal compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, providing clear and concise recommendations to management.
  • Support other departments as needed, including but not limited to, HR, Finance, and Operations, on legal matters and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar association.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate law or insurance preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.

Additional Information: This is a full-time position based in our Saratoga Springs, NY office (flex hybrid). Applicants MUST have a valid right to work in the USA, without the need for sponsorship and be comfortable commuting to this location 4 - 5 days per week during the initial onboarding and probation period then at least 3 times per week thereafter.
