Job Description:

**Key Purpose:**

The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager (HSEQ) will report directly to the Vice President of HSEQ North America along with the ISS Contract Manager with a matrix responsibility to the HSEQ Director. This position will maintain a close relationship with local and regional operations leadership to collaborate and identify best practices while ensuring ISS initiatives are communicated and carried out at the account level.

**Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence:**

* Support the North Americas HSEQ team, Operation Performance teams, Legal and Risk Management team, and People and Culture.

* Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required

* Promote the Integrated Facility Services (IFS) model within the ISS community

**Key Accountabilities:**

* Facilitate the implementation of the ISS safety, health, and quality management systems

* Generate monthly and quarterly KPI reports

* Develop and mentor site-specific safety champions

* Perform site-level observations and risk assessments and develop recommendations for improvement

* Perform PPE hazard assessments and develop recommendations for improvement

* Facilitate incident investigations, guiding site staff in root cause analysis. Ensure corrective action recommendations are escalated for approval and implementation. Track corrective actions to ensure completion.

* Maintain accurately and organized occupational incident recordkeeping requirements

* Collaborate with People & Culture and Operations regarding new hire safety orientation

* Collaborate with operations, as directed, to ensure compliance with the HSEQ

* Programs such as, but not limited to:

+ Permit to Work (PTW)

+ Lockout Tag out

+ Audits and inspection

+ Hazard communication

+ Emergency Action Plan

+ Quality Management

+ Maintain Training Records of all CBA employees

+ Subcontractor Management

* Support business unit operators in the utilization of HSEQ related software (i.e., Velocity EHS, Safety Skill, LMS, etc.)

* Assist with ensuring sites training requirements are met including reporting progress to management

* Support the efforts of the region in the development of hazard assessments including job safety analysis, specific site, and client risk analysis

* Participate in cross-regional ISO internal audits and gap closure

**Physical Demands & Work Environment:**

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

* Must be able to travel and climb ladders to access elevated locations

**Ideal Candidate Experience:**

**Required:**

* Specialized certifications in NFPA70E, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist (OHST) Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) or (CIH).

* 8-10 years of progressive HSEQ experience. Work experience within integrated facility services, manufacturing, technology, aviation is a plus.

* A degreed safety professional is optimal, but extensive experience and demonstrated pursuit of a degree in lieu of a degree is possible.

* Strong interpersonal skills with experience with working in a team and solo environment

* Strong planning, organization skills who works to complete tasks with a sense of urgency, ability to multi-task and follow projects/tasks through to completion

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate both with site workers and senior management comfortably

* Subject Matter Expert (SME) in occupational safety compliance requirements and processes

* Must have and maintain NJ Asbestos Supervisor certificate

**Preferred** :

* ISO 9001, 45001, 45001 audit certifications

* Specialized subject matter expert training and certifications in aviation safety, Industrial manufacturing safety
