Job Description:

Our client, a prestige fragrance development and distribution company, is looking to hire a Director of Sales to join their team at a hybrid capacity in their NYC office (2-3 days in-office per week). This role is pivotal in crafting and executing business strategies that meet the company's commercial objectives and elevate brand reputation.

Job Duties Include:

  • Establish store sales targets and coordinate the planning and execution of in-store events and sales initiatives to achieve objectives
  • Oversee account-level profit and loss statements ensuring sustainable growth
  • Identify and execute sales growth opportunities, including strategic expansion
  • Collaborate in developing comprehensive marketing plans that support brand equity, drive awareness, and synchronize with retailer calendars
  • Manage the overall retail promotional strategy
  • Monitor account inventory levels and manage the risk of stockouts
  • Evaluate the impact of paid programs such
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within Sephora & Amazon Prestige
  • Maintain regular communication with retail partners and conduct necessary field visits
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to wholesale accounts, including order and inventory management, planogram execution, merchandising requirements, etc.
  • Analyze sales data to assess the effectiveness of key marketing and sales activities
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive activity and leverage insights to inform account strategies
  • Provide recommendations for sales strategies based on thorough market research and competitor analysis

Job Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role within the beauty category (prestige experience preferred)
  • Must have prior experience working with Sephora & Amazon Prestige
  • Travel may be required for face-to-face meetings with retailers and market visits
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with polished presentation abilities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in P&L management, ROI analysis, and budget control

Salary: $150k - $165k annually
