The Opportunity:

Job Title: Human Resources Manager- Manufacturing Operations

Work Location: Auburn, NY onsite with occasional remote (hybrid). The position does not qualify for relocation. Local candidates preferred.

Job Summary:

The role of the Human Resource Manager encompasses leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations within the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes managing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, policy enforcement, benefits administration, and payroll supervision.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • interview, hire, and train departmental staff.
  • the department's daily operations.
  • performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
  • the HR Generalist.
  • benefits administration and payroll processing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • with the Director of Human Resources to implement the organization s HR and talent strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
  • guidance to HR staff and management on complex issues, such as accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
  • talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment and hiring for managerial and professional roles.
  • in analyzing HR performance metrics and developing improvement strategies.
  • disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • compliance with employment laws and regulations, updating policies as needed.
  • informed about HR trends, best practices, and legal changes.

Coordinate with third-party agencies and vendors.

  • positive work relationships and enhance morale and productivity.
  • additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

Preferred certifications include PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

  • experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

At Cayuga Milk Ingredients, we value a fair and comprehensive approach to compensation. Our wage range for this role is determined by various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. At CMI, it is not typical for an employee to start at or near the top of the range for the position. Compensation decisions are made based on individual job circumstances considering skill level, previous experience, and education requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $89,000 to $119,000 annually. CMI offers full benefits including medical/dental/vision, HSA contribution, PTO, paid holidays, and 401k.
