Job Description:

Prestigious manufacturing company looking for an HR Generalist responsible for several HR functions including payroll, recruitment, and benefits. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity to work fully onsite in Melville, NY. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing for a workforce of around 200 individuals, encompassing both hourly and salaried personnel
  • Verify the precision of employee deductions
  • Collaborate closely with the finance department to ensure timely updates and distribution of weekly breakdowns for hourly employees
  • Lead recruitment initiatives for designated divisions within the organization
  • Act as the primary liaison between department supervisors and staffing firms
  • Keep a current database of temporary workers' details
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes of temporary staff in collaboration with staffing firms
  • Maintain well-organized and current employee files consistently throughout the year
  • Perform routine audits on employee files to ensure adherence to document standards and regulatory compliance
  • Input new employee data into appropriate systems and uphold meticulous record-keeping practices
  • Record all meetings and disciplinary actions in employee files, and sustain an updated employee roster for upper management reference
  • Enroll employees in health benefits, liaison with insurance brokers and assist with annual open enrollment
  • Assist in yearly 401K audit and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Review and collaborate on updates to the employee handbook.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks such as answering phones, maintaining office supplies, and assisting with client visits.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in HR and payroll processing
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
