Job Description:
The HR Consultant is responsible for providing input into the development of Human Resources strategies that impact large, complex business units within a major Line of Business of a state owned Bank.*Client Details*The client is a state-owned bank. It has branches primarily overseas, but it can also found in Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and New York. It had 2000 plus branches, 24,000 employees and more than 63 million customers. The HR Consultant will support the New York Office with 50 employees and growing.*Description** Supports critical workforce activities, including but not limited to headcount reporting and analytics, financials/expenses, promotions, diversity and inclusion, performance, talent management, and key cross-HR initiatives* Collaborates with compensation, talent acquisition, and business partners in partnership with HR Managers to provide appropriate guidance on employee compensation, both at an individual level as well as in aggregate, while maintaining a focus on expense management* Time keeping, collecting and processing time-off forms, ensuring accurate records are kept.* Payroll preparation and processing* Annual review of benefits, making recommendations to management.* Counsel, discipline and termination* Performance management and performance counseling.* Ensure consistent practices and procedures are adhered to regarding employee confidentiality and maintenance of accurate and current personnel records.* Act as primary contact with employment legal counsel and external government agencies.* Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures for employment, benefits, compensation, training, manpower planning, employee relation, etc. in compliance with bank policies and US laws and regulations.*Profile** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field* Extensive experience in human resources management within the banking or financial services industry.* Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders* Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing HR staff.* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.* Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.* Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.*Job Offer** Potential Temp to Perm* Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact on the bank's HR strategy and operations.* Exposure to a diverse range of HR functions * Collaborative and supportive work environment * Chance to be part of a reputable bank with a strong commitment to integrity, excellence, and client services* Competitive Pay and Health-care Benefits* Transit Benefits* Long term contract assignmentMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
