Job DescriptionChubb's White Plains, N.Y. House Counsel law firm, Varvaro, Cotter & Bender is currently seeking candidates for a Paralegal I position. The Paralegal I position provides high level support to assigned attorneys.Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
- Gather, organize and summarize medical records
- Set up IMEs; assist in trial preparation;
- Effectively communicate with clients, insurers, counsel, court personnel and others.
QualificationsThe candidate must have
- Five years litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant
- Advanced knowledge of New York personal injury litigation,
- Advanced communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
The pay range for the role is $54,000 to $86,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
