Our client a fortune 500 company has an interesting Full time on-site opportunity for you as an Help Desk Support Specialist.
Visa: Only US Citizen or Green Card (MUST BE LOCAL)
Location: NYC
On site 5 days a week: hours are roughly 7 4 (Must be local)
Salary $80K to $100K depending on experience.
Looking at 4-6 years of experience.
Must have:
- Basic networking (understand the purpose of the network hardware)
- Windows AD environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, joining machines to a domain)
- Windows Desktop support (Win 10 and 11 anything else is not relevant)
- Windows Package Mgmt. Understand how the software works and can be deployed (MSI s, etc..) and Windows Updates
- Understanding of Windows Licensing (or mainly Office)
- Basic understanding of Linux admin
Role:

- Very proficient in in windows package management, updates/support.
- You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient package management systems on Windows platforms.
- Your primary duties will include developing automation scripts, configuring and deploying software packages, and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows operating systems, expertise in package management tools such as Chocolatey and Windows Package Manager (winget), and proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes and optimize software distribution workflows.
- Understanding of basic networking.
- Some knowledge of financial apps (BBG) and the criticality.
- Team player but also a self learner and self manager.
