Position Overview: As a Help Desk Specialist specializing in POS systems, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients and internal staff members. Your primary focus will be troubleshooting and resolving issues related to POS hardware, software, and peripheral devices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of POS systems and exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of our clients' businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support and assistance for POS system users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues affecting POS systems promptly and effectively.
  • Guide end-users through troubleshooting steps and provide clear instructions to resolve technical problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams or third-party vendors for further investigation and resolution.
  • Document all support interactions, including issue details, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in the ticketing system.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of POS hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and maintain knowledge base articles and training materials for POS system support.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to POS systems to provide proactive support and recommendations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on POS system usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques as needed.
