Job Description:

Major, Lindsey & Africas Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for temporary to permanent Healthcare Transactional and Regulatory Attorney.

Overview: Our Law Firm Client is interested in growing its Healthcare Team.

Company: Regional Powerhouse Law Firm with 115+ Attorneys.

Experience: 8+ years Healthcare Transactional and Regulatory.

Location: In Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel and represent a diverse clientele of individual clients, partnerships, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations in healthcare mergers, acquisitions, equity investments, and other strategic transactions.
  • Provide expert legal guidance on daily corporate governance matters and offer actionable solutions to complex issues.
  • Advise healthcare providers, including skilled nursing facilities, diagnostic and treatment centers, imaging centers, home health care agencies, assisted living facilities, management service organizations, and physician practices.
  • Handle matters related to fraud and abuse, licensure, employment, shareholder and partnership agreements, affiliation agreements, and buy/sell agreements.
  • Offer outside general counsel services to various entities, including nursing home operators and large physician practices.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in New York and in good standing.
  • Exceptional understanding of healthcare regulations, industry practices and emerging trends.
  • Eight plus years in healthcare law.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work independently with limited oversight and prioritize work tasks in an effective manner.
  • Proven ability to creatively accomplish organization goals while assessing and managing legal risk.
  • Collaborative with a can-do attitude balanced with the ability to gracefully communicate difficult messages.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including senior management and all colleagues at other departments in a fast-paced environment.
