Head Lifeguard to add to our world-class team.Position Summary
- As an integral part of the aquatics and lifeguard team, our Head Lifeguards inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:
- Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism
- Engaging more members in more programs and with more lifeguards
- Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience
- Monitoring lifeguards and ensuring they are following safety protocols
- Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area.
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Perform water rescues and administer basic first aid as needed.
- Inspect the facility on a daily basis and report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to your manager.
- Direct swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
- Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool.
- Pay rate for Head Lifeguards start at $17.00
Our Head Lifeguards:
- Have at least two or more years of lifeguard supervisory experience
- Are able to effectively provide associate training and development
- Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: CPR/AED, First Aid, CPO, AFO or equivalent (Preferred)
- Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
