Job Description: Position: 12 month, full-time administrative position reporting to the Director of Athletics. Supervises thefollowing employees: Assistant Field Hockey coach(es), Graduate Assistant assigned to sport, and studentworkers for game administrationand management.Duties: Oversight for all phases of the Field Hockey program. Primary responsibilities includeattracting, recruiting and retaining student-athletes who fit the educational mission of Russell Sage College.Providing excellent student-athletes experience as a member of these athletic programsSpecific coaching responsibilities include:
- Practice and game preparation
- Game day management (facilities/team needs), coaching and travel
- Recruitment efforts including travel, written and verbal communication and scouting
- Planning and maintaining team budget
- Supervision of support staff
- Training, practice development and organization
- Compliance with NCAA and conference legislations and college policies and procedures
- Secondary duties include game administration and other responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
The estimated salary is $58,458 per year for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.
Requirements: Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred;
- Highly organized individual with strong writing and verbal skills;
- Previous college playing and/or coaching experience required;
- Experience in recruiting preferred;
- Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy.
