Position Overview: Responsible for the implementation of after-school activities to groups of students. Provide supervision and guidance to students in the after-school program. What Success Looks Like: Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide instruction to groups of 10/20 students
- Responsible for overall supervision of students in an assigned group
- Provide daily supervision and guidance to students
- Provide students with a safe, nurturing and socially stimulating environment daily
- Contribute to program planning
- Developing and implementing lesson plans
- Maintaining classroom records
- Maintaining program space
- Monitor individual student goals
- Communicating with parents
- Develop special projects
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary
- Participate in staff development as necessary
Our Ideal Candidate (Qualifications):
- You have a High School Diploma
- You have an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- You have completed 9 to 18 months experience working with school-age children in a recreation, fine arts, camping or academic setting.
- You have excellent communication skills with diverse populations: both written and verbal are required.
- You have demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
- You exercise good judgment and make sound decisions.
