**JOB PURPOSE**
Teach intermediate and high-intensity Group Fitness classes (HIIT, Boot Camp, etc.) to the 14th Street Y members. Provide high-quality instruction and excellent communication with students.
**SCOPE OF INFLUENCE**
* Welcomes and works with all member/client groups.
* Works with both internal and external customers.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**Job Area/Function 1** **(80%)**
**Fitness Knowledge / Health & Safety Awareness**
* Create a safe, unique, and memorable class experience with students
* Guide students through a challenging and level appropriate class
* Maintain neat, professional attire and a courteous, helpful attitude
* Foster and grow strong relationships with 14th Street Y members
* Uphold key values of 14 Street Y team members: accountability, anticipating needs, Positive attitude and atmosphere
**Job Area/Function 2** **(20%)**
**Customer Service**
* Deliver excellent customer service to all members at all times.
* Address and resolve all member/client questions and issues in a timely, friendly manner.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**Required Knowledge**
* Current Group Fitness Instructor and CPR/AED certifications required
* Ability to teach virtual and in-person.
* Team player and a passion to build relationships with individuals
* Excellent customer service skills handling all matters in a courteous and friendly manner
* Proactive, hands-on approach, as well as a professional work ethic
* Self-motivated, highly efficient, strong attention to details
