The Global Head of Security provides security solutions, alternatives, and recommendations across the full spectrum of security services, to include threat management, access control, technology integration, risk-based staffing, training, contract management, policy-development, loss prevention, incident reporting/critical notifications, internal/external investigations, crime prevention and investigations, risk assessment and mitigation, law enforcement liaison, executive security, special event support, leader development, and internal governance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience effectively applying security principles in multifaceted and dynamic operational settings; have well developed business acumen and proficiencies; be an excellent communicator; have a strong service orientation; and be skilled at problem-solving, decision-making, business plan development, and program execution to achieve desired outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, managing security personnel, and implementing safety programs to ensure the protection of employees, visitors, and company assets.

  • Define and establish key performance indicators focusing on the Physical Security, and Executive Protection Program along with a planned implementation of intelligence gathering, and Security Program maturity efforts
  • Provide leadership for incident response investigations, coordinate response activity and brief senior leaders while maintaining confidentiality
  • Manage all physical security measures including access control, closed-circuit television, and alarm systems, as well as security personnel
  • Oversee the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential security and safety threats globally
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures in the event of an incident
  • Conduct regular training and awareness programs for employees and security personnel on security and safety best practices
  • Liaise with law enforcement and emergency response agencies to ensure effective coordination in the event of an incident
  • Manage the budget for physical security and safety initiatives
  • Stay up to date with the latest security and safety trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure that the organization is implementing best practices
  • Perform regional vulnerability assessments that ensure corporate facilities are compliant with corporate standards, industry requirements, and governmental regulations pertaining to physical security
  • Develop related policies and procedures, ensuring that an appropriate level of support coverage is always available, and that knowledge is effectively shared
  • Oversee, manage, coach, and develop team members, providing regular and timely feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/and or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15+ years of professional security management experience
  • Exceptional leadership skills, able to lead, manage and grow a global security operations and incident response program
  • The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal direction
  • Experience managing and contributing to the development and execution of security policy, plans and procedures
  • Experience in providing/drafting security mission planning in support of contract proposals
  • Ability to interpret company policies/procedures and apply them to program operations
  • Strong understanding of Physical Security, and Executive Protection programs
  • Aptitude creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate
  • Ability to co-develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education program
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Experienced in working with C-level executives, and partner organization senior leadership
  • Experience in establishing Regional and Global Security Operations Centers
  • Documented Security training/certificate(s)
  • Experience developing and implementing OPSEC (Operational Security), emergency action and test plans
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Experience conducting Security incident inquiries, and corporate internal investigations upon request
