To learn more about Berry, visit Purpose: The Global Marketing Communications Manager will be a trusted Corporate Communications professional within the Berry Global Marketing team. This position will report to the Global Communications Director (GCD) and interact with the Vice President of Marketing regularly.As a Global Corporate Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that enhance the organization's global reputation. Your role involves crafting compelling messages, managing media relations, and ensuring consistent communication across diverse markets. Collaborating with internal teams, you'll play a key role in crisis management, brand positioning, and driving a unified corporate narrative. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate cultural nuances are essential for success in this dynamic and impactful role. Responsibilities Proactively identify key storylines and angles stories to increase earned media opportunities and brand awareness Lead weekly or bi-weekly meetings to discuss prioritized strategic focus areas Develop and implement communications framework to support prioritization of stories Own consistency and delivery of the Berry brand Tone of Voice and Communication standards throughout all written communication Develop written content across all relevant touch points for all divisions and corporate needs. The writing will influence the following areas of the business: Sell sheets & brochures Speeches Catalogs Annual reports & sustainability reports Marketing campaigns Press releases Social & digital content Other Support and develop speech writing, social media content, op-eds and media Q&A for company spokespersons Ensure all external communications are taken through appropriate approval processes before releasing to public Build and nurture relationships with key press Manage in-bound media inquiries and crisis communications Participate in community events media as needed Manage and maintain proactive editorial calendar and run Bi-weekly comms meetings Proactively identify and pitch key media Develop tailored trade media outreach for 100% of product specific news articles - coordinating with associated regional PR agencies Identify timely opportunities to meet with reporters at conferences and events Build trusted working relationships with external agencies and value chain communications counterparts for successful joint announcements or advocacy Leverage data to regularly track media coverage against media relations objectives Understand current performance, including 2023 media coverage, % of articles with neutral to positive sentiment, and media interviews Qualifications 3+ Years of experience in marketing, publications, or a related field required Portfolio demonstrating role in developing creative campaigns & speeches Experience in B2B writing (preferred) Bachelor's Degree Preferred We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
