- Special Education Teacher - Behavior Support Program, grades 6-8
- Contract includes a comprehensive benefit package with health insurance (three plan options and LCSC Wellness Clinic), long-term disability & life insurance policies. Job Requirements:
- The applicant will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities
- Instruction could be provided individually or in a small group setting
- The applicant will create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students
- The applicant will collaborate with parents, students, and building administrators to develop and implement IEPs utilizing the Indiana IEP system
- The applicant will have strong oral and written communication skills
- Facilitate with junior high staff transitions back into the general education setting when appropriate
Job Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana State Teaching License with Mild and/or Intense Intervention for Special Education
- Must complete and clear drug screen and expanded criminal history background check as required by IN state law for school personnel
