About the role:

As the General Manager, you re responsible for overseeing the smooth-running of the restaurant and maintaining an excellent team culture. It s your job to ensure customers have great food and experiences every time, your team are engaged, and the restaurant is profitable.

Your duties & responsibilities:

Ensure the front-of-house crew are trained, engaged, and ready to deliver great service

Coach and develop your team in their career development

Model proactivity, passion, and an excellent work ethic

Oversee the efficient ordering and delivery of stock, including forecasting, ordering, receiving orders, managing re-orders, managing stock counts and rotations, portioning & controlling costs

Responsible for timely and accurate payroll for all employees on a weekly basis

Ensure the restaurant is set up and ready to deliver excellent services (e.g. ambiance, product quality, customer service and food safety standards etc.)

Shares all repair and maintenance responsibilities for the restaurant with the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine, coordinating with the Global Head of Growth for approval on spending

Works directly with Executive Chef in order to promote a strong and unified leadership dynamic breaking barriers of separation between FOH and BOH

Work with the Marketing team where required to identify and execute opportunities to for local area marketing. This may include partnering with local businesses, and hosting events to enhance brand perception and drive sales in your restaurant

Skills and experience:

5+ years in front of house operations or management in a high-touch quick service or restaurant environment

Previous management experience required

Experience with operations management, team management & team development

NYC Food Protection certificate

Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.

Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel & business costing analysis

Excellent communication skills

Team player mindset and a positive can-do attitude

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Accountable in setting and upholding high standards
