CulinArt's extremely diverse client portfolio affords great opportunities for career advancement within the company, across multiple industry segments and geographic regions.Job SummaryAs a General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a high-volume, multi-unit retail account in accordance with the approved budget while meeting client expectations at the United Nations in New York.You will be expected to maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests, and clients, as well as oversee the 7 retail operations within the entire operation.You will be responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team. You will also foster strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the dining service and retail department with the facility plan of operations.Key Responsibilities: Participates in employee meetings, reviews, and training programsManages compliance with Company established policies and proceduresManages in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulationsMaintains food costs while ensuring quality standardsEstablishes and maintains good rapport with staff, clients and guests and other departmentsManages financial acumen for all areas including financial reporting with sales reports P&L reports, writing and adhering to annual budgets and cash handlingAnalyzes and creates trends for financial dataManages purchasing and inventory controlsPlans menus in consultation with chefsIs knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of foodPreferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experienceEight to ten years of upscale and high-volume food service experience, including six years of experience at the management levelExperience in multi-unit operations preferredExperience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and succession planningProven track record in achieving company goals in compliance with company/client policies and proceduresExcellent leadership and organizational skills, and must possess attention to detailSupervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skillsEffective problem-solving and conflict-management skillsAbility to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptionsExperience in food purchasing, food costs, and inventory controlAbility to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets, and forecastsKnowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reportsMust be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of foodMonitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and servingExceptional business etiquette and client relationsManages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlinesStrong catering experience requiredConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviorExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPointServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus Apply to CulinArt todayCulinArt is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
