Buffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and currently seeking an Attorney to act as General Counsel to join our fast-growing team!

Who We Are:

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. has been in business since 2005. We are a growing company that collects and recycles used cooking oil. With over 18 years in business, we collect and process used cooking oil for the production of Biodiesel, a carbon reducing alternative fuel to Hydrocarbons. We operate in 15 States with service to over 22,000 locations and growing. Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is subject to and complies with the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide general counsel to Senior Management team and other attorneys
• Oversee settlements
• Manage discovery demands and depositions
• Court Appearances (as needed)
• Occasional trial appearances

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree Required
• Admitted to practice in New York State
• Minimum ten years litigation experience in Buffalo
• Experience drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery demands, and responses
• Experience leading and managing other attorneys; must be willing to take on all major matters personally and to guide junior counsel
• Fluent understanding of electronic filing via NYSCEF
• Reliable, hardworking, and motivated

This is an onsite role. Our offices are located at 17 Court Street, Buffalo, NY.

Salary: $150,000 - $225,000
