Compensation Currency USD Job Description The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is currently recruiting for a General Cashier. Theideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring an adequate supply of funds is always maintained for normal operation and to ensure that receipts and cash disbursements of the hotel are properly controlled and accounted for. Ensures revenues of all operational departments are properly posted and controlled on a daily basis.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

* Is responsible for internal auditing of House Funds as well as other internal controls as needed.

* Ensures compliance to all relevant policies and procedures.

* Prepares daily bank deposit and petty cash reimbursements.

* Researches bank count discrepancies and reports to the Assistant Controller.

* Prepares petty cash reimbursement, ensuring complete documentation and G/L coding.

* Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

* Collects drop envelopes from the drop safe and checks against the Deposit Summary Log to ensure the safe contents agree with the amounts shown on the drop log.

* Counts the drops, prepares change orders, due backs, and foreign exchange deposits.

* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.

* All other duties as required

Job Requirements **Qualifications**

* Minimum education is high school equivalency, with some Hotel/College training preferred.

* Minimum 2 years of experience in ultra-luxury operations, preferably in a union environment

* Knowledge of general business systems (i.e. Word, Excel), Property Management and Point of Sale Systems (i.e. Opera, Micros) is required.

* Strong command of both spoken and written English with fluency in other languages preferred

* Excellent interpersonal relationship with positive attitude and ability to work cohesively as part of a team
