Job Description:
NJ/NY Gotham FC ( Gotham FC or the Club ) is a National Women's Soccer League ( NWSL ) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.The Role: Gotham FC is seeking a Game Presentation Manager who will lead and enhance the overall fan experience for Gotham FC matches, ensuring every aspect of gameday contributes to fan engagement and satisfaction. This role will lead all aspects of programming, inclusive of planning and execution on gameday itself, across all elements - live entertainment, music, video, graphics, talent, hype squad, and any other relevant components. You will own and produce a season-long plan that aligns with theme nights, promotional programming, as well as bringing to life new and existing Gotham FC traditions. You will continually seek to elevate the entertainment and experience for fans, lead cross-functional initiatives, and call shows by commanding control room staff. This position reports to the Head of Fan Experience.Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the development of the Gotham FC Game Presentation, across all elements, including pre-, during-, halftime and post-game programming.
Planning:
  • Write game presentation scripts, including creative copy for in-arena talent, and all cues (lighting, sound, video, graphics, performances, promotions, PA announcers).
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure all presentation elements are operationally sound and managed in a timely manner, considering all logistical creations.
  • Lead Gotham FC groups to integrate game presentation elements, including hosting weekly meetings to ensure Gotham FC in on track for each match day.
  • Manage Dropbox folder of all match production elements, inclusive of graphics, partnerships requirements, sizzle videos and more & ensure timely delivery of graphics & requests from all departments.
  • Meet with necessary department stakeholders to determine details of upcoming game nights and ensure needs are met.
  • Work closely with Partnership Marketing, Ticketing, & Marketing to integrate brands into the plans in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with external vendors on match presentation elements to bring exciting entertainment to the audience (e.g. pyro, AR, etc.).
Match Day & Entertainment
  • Oversee the planning & execution of fan engagement, including pregame and halftime shows, fan trivia, contests, and fan cam experiences.
  • On gameday, call the show and live events integrating all production elements (i.e., lighting, music, video, PA, entertainment, etc.).
  • Own the coordination with other onsite staff to ensure smooth & timely operational production.
  • Monitor fan satisfaction with match presentation elements to continually improve the experience for our fans.
  • Create a repeatable framework for gamedays that can scale over time and has flexible windows for specialty programming.
  • Assist in sourcing a secondary and/or local producer when needed.
  • Hire & manage on-field producers & assignments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing or productions, or 5 years' game day directing or relevant field experience.
  • Knowledge of broadcast control room and production environments.
  • Experience with integration of multi-branded marketing and sponsorship environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrating use of discretion and sound judgment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the game schedule.
  • Knowledge of current trends and tech in sports marketing & entertainment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.

Capability & Other Characteristics:
  • Experience with soccer environment and culture.
  • Experience with entertainment marketing.
  • Previous live event production experience preferred.
  • Proficient in ShoFlo Software to manage script.
  • Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exposure to high noise level.
  • Frequent visual/auditory attention.
  • Requires long periods of time on feet.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Location: Based at Gotham FC's business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed.
