OPEN CALL for Servers, Bartenders, Bussers, and Maitre D's (Maitre D's up to $24/hr, no tips) April 30th - May 3rd and May 6th-10th (11 AM- 4 PM) @ 203 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbour TurnpikeBring a Resume to be ConsideredSERVERS

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare room for dining by setting napkins, service plates and utensils, and water cups on each of the tables including outside dining as applicable.
  • Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Provide a welcoming greeting and take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude and using our POS handheld system Toast.
  • Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen is running out of any items, etc.
  • Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording guests' choices; identifying guests' special dietary needs and special requests through our POS system Toast.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting the timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from the bar and kitchen if needed; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service stations.
  • Maintain table maintenance by performing steps of service and removing courses as completed, if needed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • Following basic service steps and properly opening and pouring beer, wine, low alcoholic beverages at the tableside.
  • Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bills; accepting payment; informing bill and payment progress to the host team; returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests.
  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting guests to return.
  • Contribute to teamwork each shift by assisting other team members with delivering food, drinks, and/or desserts to guests that might not be in your assigned section.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by a supervisor or manager.
  • Fulfill both assigned and running side work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to handle money accurately and operate the TOAST POS system
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by ownership, management, or supervisors

BARTENDERS

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
  • Informing customers about new beverages and specials as they are implemented each shift.
  • Building and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers whether at the bar or in the dining room, based on the flow of service, and tickets behind the bar.
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Observing the inventory of batched cocktails, garnishes, glassware, plats, and utensils, and alert Management about ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by ownership, management, or supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing is required for the majority of the shift (90%)
  • Some light to medium lifting will be required throughout the shift, anywhere from 2-30lbs.
BUSSER/RUNNERS

YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

  • Greet and assist the serving staff with maintaining the cleanliness of the table during the guests dining experience.
  • Prepare dining room and patio tables (weather/season permitting) for guests by setting tables with clean plates, silverware, napkins, and glassware.
  • Performs 3-level bussing: wipes tables and seats with dampened sanitized cloths, and then sweeps the floor to make ready for the next party.
  • Maintain table settings by removing finished courses, and carry them to the service stations buss bins to be taken to the dishpit for cleaning.
  • Be the last set of eyes on all dishes leaving kitchen
    • If something is missing or isn t there alert chefs immediately
  • Bring food quickly from the kitchen to its respective location in the restaurant and deliver to guests
  • Replenish and/or replace plates, silverware, glassware, and napkins on the expo line, bar, and service stations as necessary.
  • Cleans up spilled food or drinks, broken dishes, in the dining room or around the property when needed.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as, clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays
  • Fill and change out Quat Sanitizer buckets a maximum of every 2 hours or as needed.
  • Locate items requested by guests, fellow teammates, or Management.
  • Carries food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchen or supply departments to serving areas.
  • Cleans and polishes counters, shelves, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants, and mops or vacuum floors.
  • Cleaning of side stations, floors, furniture as needed.
  • Check restrooms for cleanliness and restock if necessary every 30 minutes.
  • Helps move trash bags and cardboard boxes from stations and brings them to the trash area.
  • Opening and closing side work.
  • Refilling water glasses for guests dining as needed.
  • Maintain all steps in the Customer Service program with each guest and employee you may come in contact with.
  • Supports server, bartender, or kitchen staff with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies required.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary bussing station and uniform standards.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by ownership, management, or supervisors.

MAITRE D'

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and ensure they are seated promptly and according to their preferences.
  • Assist guests with menu inquiries, special requests, and accommodations to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to resolve issues promptly and to the satisfaction of the guest.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant.

Reservation Management:

  • Manage reservations for multiple restaurants effectively, ensuring accurate floor plans, assigned tables to reservations, and timely communication with guests regarding their reservations via Resy Chat or through email.
  • Coordinate with the BOH management team, FOH management team, and serving staff to ensure accurate reservation communication, and smooth flow of service and timely seating of reservations.

Shift Supervision:

  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, ensuring all tasks are completed to company standards.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, operational updates, and any other relevant information to staff.
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff members as necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor the performance of staff members during service, providing coaching and feedback as needed to maintain high service standards.
  • Oversee and comply with all POS administrative tasks during service such as comp/void
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including opening and closing cash registers, processing payments, and reconciling cash drawers.

Administrative Duties:

  • Monitor and reply to reservation requests through the reservations company email.
  • Provide directors recap emails of VIP guest experiences.
  • Prepare daily reports on reservations, and guest feedback for management review.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude at all times.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
