Lemonlight is a full-service content studio that specializes in performance creative. Since launching in 2014, we've become one the largest branded content providers in the world! We've worked with over 3,500 brands and are now serving a range of clientele from small businesses to the world's biggest brands like Amazon, AirBnB, Google, and Uber. We're looking for Freelance Directors to work directly with our in house Creative Team to bring commercials to life. With an enormous variety of products from home goods to fashion to food, tech to real estate and beyond, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and build out your commercial portfolio. You should have a passion and hunger for directing with experience in all aspects of production.Our day-rates average $500 - $700 per day. You must be able to accept this range in order to be considered. Your client interaction will be limited to on-set only, as our internal team manages all pre-production and logistical conversations with our clients. To be considered you also must live in New York City area.Job Duties:
- Collaborate with Lemonlight's Creative Team, Coordinator Team, DPs, Art Directors, Commercial Talent and more to successfully execute each project.
- Create highly efficient shot lists and call sheets that maximize on-set success.
- Lead the entire production team, including on-set crew and off-site production coordinators and managers.
- Effectively communicate and manage clients on set.
- Help assemble, manage, and support crews on small to large scale projects, from five person skeleton crews to full-scale production teams with 20-50+ members.
- Execute projects that stay on script and closely follow Lemonlight's Creative Pre-Production materials.
- Translate creative concepts from paper to the screen, capturing beautiful, broadcast-quality images.
- Conduct interviews with both clients and customers for mini-doc style videos and/or testimonials.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of production experience and demonstrated proficiency as a director
- Access to a lighting package, camera, and audio equipment is a plus
- Proficient understanding of talent blocking, camera blocking, talent direction, and shot listing.
- Highly organized with an undeniable ability to multitask.
- Must have own transportation
