Pay Range: $45 - $50/hr on W2 FinOps Analyst (Fully Remote) Job Description: We are currently looking for a FinOps Analyst to join our growing FinOps practice. The FinOps Analyst should have prior financial reporting and cost optimization experience with GCP, Azure, and/or AWS. This position ensures that all stakeholders have timely and accurate access to monthly billing reports for utilized cloud providers. Additionally, this position will assist with projects focused on rightsizing, optimization, tagging, and other FinOps efforts. This position will also help to begin the initial steps of incorporating automation to assist with monthly reporting. Furthermore, this position will interact with stakeholders through the organization including the C-suite, as such, it is critical that the analyst can quickly adapt their messaging based on the included audience. Responsibilities:
- Drive business value by enabling engineering, finance, and business teams to collaborate on data-driven spend decisions.
- Help product and business teams across the business to understand the variable cloud spend, create metrics, reports, tools, and recommendations for financial excellence in the cloud.
Continue implementation of FinOps practices throughout the organization including: Cloud billing management Cloud cost showback Tagging for cost attribution/forecasting/CMDB discovery Cloud forecasting & utilization tracking Cloud cost optimization Reporting Automation Cost Anomaly Detection Rightsizing efforts Background, Experience & Expected Skills: Bachelor's degree with a business major such as Business Administration/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes. Minimum 1 years' experience with native and 3rd party Public Cloud cost management & advisory tools (Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor, Azure Advisor, GCP Recommender etc.) Solid proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships. Understanding of core Finance & Accounting principles, a basic understanding of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.) Credit Check is required Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python within FinOps related role Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, BigQuery, etc.)
