The Greater New York Complex at Equitable Advisors is expanding. We are seeking a motivated and passionate Financial Services Representative to join our #1 nationally ranked team in the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in planning for their financial futures--from paying for education to saving for retirement
  • Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies, financial products, and services to help clients meet their financial objectives
  • Build and maintain a client base, keep client plans up-to-date and acquire new clients on an ongoing basis
  • We utilize a variety of high-tech software platforms to connect you with prospective clients across different companies and industries in the U.S. and its territories
  • Incorporate Holistic Life Planning and Financial Planning strategies to provide recommendations and sell appropriate financial products and services including life insurance, annuities, and investment options (including both Equitable-manufactured products and other products available through our open-infrastructure platform)

Skills

  • Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
  • Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Required Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree is preferred but not required
  • You will be required to attain state life and health licenses, SIE, FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams (other designations a plus)

Please note: Interested candidates who do not possess the above licenses are still encouraged to submit an application. If necessary, the Greater New York Complex will support its selected Financial Services Representative with attaining all or any remaining licenses prior to hire. The Complex will sponsor the examinations, facilitate an educational partnership with our in-office Director of Training and Development, and offer rewards for passing the examinations within an agreed-upon timeline.
