**About the Financial Planning Team Leader Role**

The Financial Planning Team Leader for Affinity BST Advisors oversees all aspects of financial planning, estate planning, insurance planning and investment services for ABAs diverse client base. As a Team Leader, you will function as a Player Coach, acting as a Financial Planner while managing a team of Financial Planners to higher levels of achievement.

*In this role, you will:*

* Act as a senior subject matter expert in assisting high net worth clients from an income, trust and estate and tax planning perspective

* Advise individuals and families on all aspects of the transmission of wealth, including tax-efficient estate planning structures, sophisticated lifetime gifting strategies, the transfer of closely held businesses, charitable giving and the administration and restructuring of trusts.

* Counsel clients on asset protection techniques and implementation

* Interface with Trustees, Attorneys, Accountants, and other advisors and professional bodies in respect to private clients wealth planning

* Formalize financial goals and put into action a plan to achieve those goals.

* Prepares financial planning analyses for clients including, but not limited to retirement, investments, estate, tax, education funding, real estate, and risk management needs analysis.

* Work with the Financial Planners to deepen relationships with clients through portfolio reviews, outbound campaigns, retention strategies and providing client solutions.

* Drive results and accountability by fostering a sense of urgency in the team for reaching goals and meeting deadlines

* Manages direct reports in the setting of goals and annual performance expectations and in providing ongoing and constructive feedback, coaching and training so as to ensure the performance standards required by the position are met.

* Develops new business opportunities from assigned accounts and other sources and assists other financial planners with their new business efforts.

* Be engaged in hiring, coaching, and retaining talent while managing risk and driving revenue growth.

* Develop the Financial Planners through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments

* Create a climate where the team is motivated to do their best, hold themselves and the team accountable to meeting commitments and consistently achieving results, and anticipates client needs and prioritizes work accordingly to meet contact center service levels.

*To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:*

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

* Preferred Credentials Certified Financial Planner, potentially other licenses may be required for the role as determined by management / registration

* 10+ years' progressive experience in a financial planning and leading a team. Experienced in the structuring and management of family office entities is a plus

* Extensive experience working with clients in structuring multi-generational wealth and estate planning strategies

* Technical expertise in US tax legislation and tax implications of investment portfolios, estate planning entities, philanthropic entities, and other business activities, including impact of the Alternative Minimum Tax

* Experience in interfacing with Trustees, Attorneys, Accountants, and other advisors and professional bodies in respect to private clients wealth planning

* Ability to build consensus and facilitate decision-making among families

* Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide adequate financial advice

* Exceptional communication, analytical and presentation skills

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software

* Proficiency in E-Money Software (Preferred)

* Ability to multitask and prioritize

* Ability to work under pressure and deadlines

* Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

* Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with a team.

* Understanding of when and how to work in an efficient manner.
