Position Overview: Client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Finance Transformation Techno-Functional Specialist to join their finance team during this critical phase of their Digital Transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance processes coupled with expertise in leveraging technology solutions, particularly Oracle EPM (formerly Hyperion), to drive efficiencies and automation.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the finance organization, including accounting and FP&A teams, to understand their needs and challenges during the transition phase.
- Serve as a bridge between technology and finance, providing subject matter expertise on how to effectively utilize the Oracle EPM tool to achieve desired outcomes such as automated close processes and trial balance reconciliations.
- Work closely with their systems integrator to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure smooth integration of EPM with their ERP solution (Oracle Fusion).
- Lead efforts to optimize chart of accounts configurations within EPM and facilitate necessary adjustments for integration with Oracle Fusion from legacy Peoplesoft.
- Drive tool adoption across the finance team, demonstrating the benefits of Oracle EPM in enhancing decision-making and driving efficiencies.
- Act as a liaison with system integrator's solution experts to address technical challenges and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance transformation roles, preferably with hands-on experience in Oracle EPM or similar enterprise performance management tools.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including financial close, budgeting, and management reporting.
- Technologically adept with a proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and technology stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with system integrators and large consulting firms preferred (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte).
- Passion for driving efficiencies and leveraging technology to transform business processes.
- Experience in operationalizing a recently implemented tool to optimize business functions would be highly advantageous, particularly in adherence to change management principles essential for seamless integration and adoption of new technology.
