Description Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment. Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website. Position Summary: The Field Applications Engineer is a critical part to the technical support within Mini-Circuits, gathering and presenting data to our customers, provide recommendations on which part is most efficient in the customer's design and help debug any questions they have. This position also participates in regional & new opportunity reviews to learn how Mini-Circuits achieves quality and speed at an affordable price! The Field Applications Engineer also actively participates in customer meetings and calls while working alongside our quality, marketing, and production team to support our customers. This position builds relationships with our customers and partner reps to ensure that Mini-Circuits is their preferred RF & Microwave Supplier. Salary Range: $114,000 - $170,000 per year Job Function:
  • Utilizing experience, provides technical support at an advanced level in all areas of applications engineering tasks.
  • Respond to customers' technical questions regarding Mini-Circuits products.
  • Provide preliminary evaluation of customers' requests for new products and work with marketing and engineering to satisfy customer's needs.
  • To participate in regional opportunity review to support customers in system design and product identification.
  • Visit customers to promote new products and discuss technical issues.
  • Coordinate opportunities with sales reps and customers.
  • Assist in defining and implementing department goals.
  • Collaborate in preparation of application notes.
  • Review technical documents in support of other mini-circuits departments.
  • Assists in training new department members.
  • Review and approve sample data.
  • Train new members on department documents

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field of study
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in design, product, Evaluation, test or sales of engineering products in an RF/Microwave environment
  • Use of Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS)
  • Designed / Supported RF Systems such as transceivers and radar
